Senior Citizen Versus ‘Telephone Bad-ass Guy’ At LBC Branch Porta Vaga Mall in Baguio City
Respect is all that matters to everyone. Without patience patience and respect, the world will always be at war. I was always taught to respect the elders – weren’t you?
I think this young man is disrespectful to the senior citizen who complained about the bad service of LBC Branch at Porta Vaga Mall in Baguio City. Instead of addressing the problem properly, the LBC employee didn’t do anything to find a way to solve the problem, this is so-called “telephone bad-ass guy” lost his temper and patience as it seems to me he wanted to hit the old man.
In a blog post of Mr. Alon Calinao Dy, he said, “every person is going to be old someday and there’s no reason why young people should not respect the elderly. If one is so disrespectful, what reasons do you have for not doing so? The world will be a better place if people know how to understand, have a long patience and lasting love. Spread love not hate, particularly to elderly people.”
When I watched this video, I felt sorry for the old man because our society took elderly people for granted for not being treated well. I often see many elders being abused. Is it because they are not used to be when they were young? Yes, it’s true that some young people nowadays are disrespectful. Again, What reasons do you have for not doing so?
This so-called “telephone bad-ass guy” could have done better if he controlled his temper. Do you think you’d be happy if someone who is younger than you is going to challenge for a fist fight when you reach your old age? Of course, not!
I strongly feel the need for Filipinos to respect the elderly. Do not follow the bad attitude of Senator Antonio Trillanes IV who disrespected President Rodrigo Duterte at his 72 years old. Respect towards the elderly comes from the teachings of our parents. If a person is disrespectful, it shows more something about the values of his family.
I don’t think that seniors should be treated bad this way. Remember, everyone is getting old and when a person believes in bad karma, one should not do what this “telephone bad-ass guy” did to a senior Filipino citizen. And to LBC management, is this how you treated your senior citizens?!! I don’t blame the management for everything, but at least, LBC should need to assess the situation in order to address the problem properly.
If you have any opinion about what happened last September 25 at LBC Branch Porta Vaga Mall in Baguio City, your suggestion is very welcome here.
